Replacement Converter for Branson 902J

They say the best businesses run on pure passion. I had for a long time thought that some OEMs price their replacement converters way too high. I also believe that the best way to replace a converter is with an an all-new converter, not a rebuilt. When the opportunity arose for me to address that situation, I jumped at the chance.

I'm Tom Kirkland, and during my time as a manufacturing engineer I purchased and installed over fifty ultrasonic welders for my then-employer. I later had a long and successful career with one of the major OEM companies before launching this business. It's possible you attended one of my seminars on plastic welding, or heard me deliver a technical paper, or you may have read one of my magazine articles. I have held several offices in related professional societies, including a stint as President of the Ultrasonic Industry Assocaition. See the consulting services page for more information.

Drawing on my 20-plus years of experience with ultrasonic welders, I located a company in the United States that I could trust to manufacture a high-quality replacement converter, using all of the best equipment and procedures. These converters would have to perform as well and last as long as the OEM model, or I wouldn't sell them. Since this company makes them for me in quantity and does not have the massive profit expectation of the OEM, they sell them to me at a very reasonable price. Then I turn around and sell them to you at a very reasonable price.

Now, these are not some cheap knock-offs cranked out in somebody's garage. First, all of the parts are brand-spanking-new, not recovered from scrapped units. These converters are made in a highly controlled and repeatable manner to duplicate the performance of the OEM models. The parts are made from certified materials in tightly controlled manufacturing processes, assembled and tested in a climate-controlled environment using carefully calibrated equipment, then properly aged and re-tested to ensure performance that duplicates the OEM part. Best of all, since the manufacturing process is so carefully controlled, durability is assured.

We actually made some mechanical improvements to the converter from the OEM design, so theoretically they should be more durable. Just thought you should know we left no stone unturned to try to give you the best product we know how to make.

If I did not believe these converters were at least as good as the OEM's, I could not offer the same warranty as the OEM, namely, three years one-time replacement. Simply ship the broken unit back to arrive within three years of original shipment, and it will be replaced (one time). See the warranty link below for the particulars.

So, how can you know for sure that these converters do what I say they will? After all of my years in the industry, I wouldn't put my reputation on the line for junk. Still, the only way you are going to know for sure is to order one and try it out. Since they cost about half what the OEM charges, doesn't it make sense to try one out and find out if they are at least half as good as I say they are?
